Featured Success Couple: Heather and Matt

Heather and Matt

I, along with my fiance, was a skeptic of dating sites. I never thought in a million years I would ever join one! I decided to give it a try just to see what was out there… I’m so glad I did! I happened to see Matt’s picture and something just caught my eye. After reading his profile I was hooked. I kept thinking “this is too good to be true.” I talked myself out of sending an email and logged off the site. Every single day that went by I just could not stop thinking about him! I would get on and read his profile everyday. I even looked him up on Facebook!

Finally after one week, I decided to send an email. “What the heck?” I thought. The worst that could happen is that he wouldn’t respond. Well he did respond, much to my excitement. We planned our first date on August 9, 2011. From that evening we were inseperable. We spent almost every single day together from that point on. After the second evening with him, I told my mom that I had met the guy I was going to marry. The amazing thing is that we ended up living less than a mile from each other!

December 2011 he asked me to move into his house with him and his dog, Enzo. We found out January 6, 2012 that we were pregnant! In April we took a trip to California, where we had an amazing vacation and Matt proposed on the beach at sunset. We are now happily engaged and expecting a little boy in September! I just wanted to share our story and thank Match.com for bringing Matt and I together even though we were living less than a mile apart! We are so blissfully happy together. I never imagined that I could love someone so much. I’m so blessed to have found the love of my life and the father of my child. So many amazing things can happen in one year when you spend it with the person you were meant to find and be with all along.

It’s amazing that making that first Email connection makes all the difference in the world. I to was a sceptic about dating sites until I decided to go on Match.Com. I am going on a second date for dinner and conversation and I feel in my heart that he will be the one for me. You really don’t know what fate and circumstances will bring you, but when you connect finally, you just know.

Nice story! Things sure moved quickly for them. I think it’s a little funny that she admits to looking him up on FB. Best of happiness in the future!

I think these kinds of sites are a scam. I bet the so-called success coupes are just models like the ones they use in those info commercials. I hear more stories about marriages ended by affairs resulting from these sites. FB has earned its title as the marriage killer. Many people spend a lot of money and time on these sites and get nowhere but broke and heart broken. A member of my church was left stranded half way across the country after someone he met on a dating site conned him. I guess he is lucky he at least didn’t travel to Great Britain to meet another match. No big surprise most of the spam I get from these sites refers to hot people in my area looking for a one-night stand. These sites are the single’s bars of the 21st century.
